Skyline Trail, Paradise, Mt. Rainier
The Skyline Trail at Paradise, on Mt. Rainier is one of the longest loop trails at Paradise, beginning at the visitor's center and climbing up through fragile subalpine meadows to Panorama Point, then skirting across a small snowfield before descending through another set of breathtaking meadows. This time of year sees especially large crowds as blooming wildflowers and the summer's best weather make for the quintessential Rainier dayhike.
Rather than describe the trail in detail, I'll leave it to the photos. A highlight for me was the southern view at Panorama Point, from which on a clear day you can see Goat Rocks, Mt. Adam, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Hood.
